Select data from the Baseline Storage Sheets (BSS) is included in the Livelihoods Explorer. Currently the Livelihoods Explorer Database ingests unique Data Points from the wealth breakdown, data, data2, data3, seasonal calendar, and graph sheets. Other data is excluded for a number of reasons, including:

The information is not necessary for the current model of a livelihood in the reference year but may be integrated in the future with changes to the data structure and/or model, such as:

Expandability, coping, and/or reduction of expenses

Timeline (hazards in particular)

The information is too granular for current household-level modeling that is used for international assistance decisions. These items are possible areas for future expansion of our database holdings:

Intra-household division of labor

The information is contextual. It may include process information for those conducting the surveys, be used to gather context on the livelihood zone for integration into the profile narrative or to support understanding of or check other data in the workbook, or summarize data that is being ingested from another sheet. FEWS NET can not make BSSs publicly available because they contain personally identifiable information (such as enumerator names), allow for community identification, and are largely owned by external organizations and governments. Requests for access must be approved by the data owner. If you require a specific BSS, you may submit a helpdesk ticket outlining your use case, and FEWS NET will forward the request to the appropriate data owner for consideration.
