The Hazards and Events admin screens contain data about annual and seasonal production and how hazards and events can affect that production. This information is stored on the BSS 'Timeline' worksheet based on responses to Form 3. It is not yet being ingested into the Livelihoods Explorer but is a part of the model.
Production performances
This screen contains relative production performance experienced in a specific year or season. Most BSSs contain the performance for the year as a whole and will use a 'Main' or 'Annual' season. However, in Livelihood Zones with bimodal rainfall we can capture performance for each season individually.
Fields include:

Community or village: The community or village this production performance is associated with.

Performance year start date: The first day of the month of the start month in the performance year.

Performance year end date: The last day of the month of the end month in the performance year.

Seasonal performance: Rating of the seasonal production performance from Very poor (1) to Very good (5).
Hazards
A shock such as drought, flood, conflict or market disruption which is likely to have an impact on people’s livelihoods.
Hazards can be Chronic (every year) or Periodic hazards (not every year).
Fields include:

Community or village: The community or village this Hazard is associated with.

Chronic or periodic: Indicates if this Hazard is chronic or periodic.

Ranking: Indicates how important the Hazard is.

Hazard category: The type of Hazard, for example pests, flooding, or livestock disease.

Description of Event(s) and/or Response(s): Additional context or notes on the Hazard can be included here.
Events
A shock such as drought, flood, conflict or market disruption which happened in a recent year prior to the reference year.
Fields include:

Community or village: The community or village this Event is associated with.

Event year start date: The first day of the month of the start month in the Event year.

Event year end date: The last day of the month of the end month in the Event year.
